Optix Optometry has always believed that technology, inventory and efficiency is the best way to improve patient care.
In
2005, we followed that mantra by adding a full service optical lab for
faster turnaround times and better quality control. Our machines can create custom lenses with a total power range of approximately +10.00 to -17.00, even with high levels of astigmatism.
Depending on lens
options and upgrades, most jobs can now be completed either same day or
next day, including:
Single vision
Bifocals and trifocals
Progressive lenses (no-line bifocals and trifocals)
Office lenses
We can process the following lens materials:
Plastic
Polycarbonate
Trivex
Hi Index (including the newest and thinnest 1.74 index)
We can also process the following lens upgrades and options:
Antiglare coatings with 2 year warranty
Antiscratch coatings with 2 year warranty
Transitions lenses
Polarized lenses
Rimless and complex drill mount lenses
Tinted lenses
Lens edge tints
Since 2005, several offices in the area have scaled
back their lab capabilities, leaving Optix Optometry one of only two
independently owned full service labs in the greater Lafayette area.
